Dr. Yamamoto was formerly an
assistant professor of psychiatry in
the department of neuropsychiatry
and also deputy director of general
medicine at the University of the
Ryukyus Hospital, Okinawa. Dr.
Yamamoto has also served as the
designated physician for
occupational health in Okinawa to
promote mental health in the
workplace. In addition, he has
served as the regional
vice-president for the World
Federation for Mental Health
(WFMH). He was previously at the
University of Melbourne's
department of transcultural
psychiatry in Australia.
